Who We Are
Our Story
Ava Home Care & Community Services was born from personal experience and a deep love of family. Founders Warren and Assiana Nkoume moved to the United States with a dream to build something meaningful that would support families in their most vulnerable moments.
After settling in Nebraska, the couple drew on over 10 years of combined caregiving experience helping seniors and individuals with disabilities. They asked themselves: “What truly matters? What brings us joy?” The answer was clear caring for others. That heartfelt conviction became the foundation of Ava Home Care & Community Services.
In 2025, Assiana enrolled in nursing school to deepen her clinical knowledge and expand the company’s vision. Shortly after, Ava Home Care & Community Services added transportation to its service offerings a milestone that reflects our commitment to growing alongside the needs of the families we serve.

Their passion, integrity, and personal investment in every client relationship make Ava Home Care & Community Services more than a business it’s a calling. They are caregivers at heart, and that never changes regardless of how much the company grows.
Assiana’s current nursing education reflects the team’s commitment to raising the bar for non-medical home care in Sarpy and Douglas Counties ensuring clients always receive the most informed, compassionate support possible.
